“Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Stevie J. is in hot water with fans for seemingly dismissing his 2-year-old daughter’s recent birthday.
Stevie J., who’s starred on seven seasons of the VH1 series, took to Instagram on Monday to wish Diddy’s son Justin Dior Combs a happy 25th birthday.
“I’ve watch you grow into a fly young man. May God bless you to see many more years of great health & blessings,” the reality star wrote.
The post incited reactions from fans who wondered why he created a birthday post for Combs, but not his own daughter Bonnie Bella.
“That’s crazy asf still no Bonnie birthday post i use to think sooooo highly of you @hitmansteviej_1 where is baby bella,” one fan wrote.
Another added, “You should’ve kept this same energy for Bonnie Bella Birthday 🤷🏾.”
One person defended Stevie J.’s parental actions and commented, “That man probably wished his baby Happy Birthday privately. Y’all don’t have to SEE, and HEAR EVERYTHING these people do..crazy!!”
Stevie J. hasn’t seen his daughter in several months, according to his ex-fiancée and ex-“LHHATL” co-star Joseline Hernandez. The music producer and Hernandez had a tumultuous relationship for years before ending their relationship around June 2016. Their baby girl Bonnie Bella came into the world later that year.
Stevie J. initially denied that Hernandez’s 2-year-old daughter was his and was forced by a court to take a paternity test. The results proved that he was indeed the father of baby Bella. He and Hernandez engaged in a nasty custody battle in 2017 and finally settled the dispute in a Georgia court. Stevie was ordered to pay Hernandez $1,000 a month in child support from his $360,000 annual income and was given joint custody of the 2-year-old. Hernandez was awarded primary physical custody of their daughter.
In September 2018, Hernandez accused Stevie J. of being an absent father in baby Bella’s life.
“I gave my daughter my last name because, sadly, the last name she should’ve had by blood wasn’t around to help her. … Everyone knows that my baby daddy denied my daughter. A person that denies a 99.9 percent bloodline, how dare you believe them!” Hernandez told Bossip.
Stevie J. has yet to respond to Hernandez’s absent father claims.
