We recently shared news that Kanye West is “drug-free,” which raised concern among his fans. That’s because he’s been open about having mental issues and many believed he’s no longer taking his medication.
Those concerns seem to grow even more when Kanye sent a New Year’s Day tweet and reaffirmed his allegiance to Donald Trump. The polarizing rapper said not following Trump would mean that he’s being controlled, because most Black people support the political left.
“Trump all day,” he wrote. “Just so in 2019 you know where I stand. Blacks are 90% Democrats. That sounds like control to me. They will not program me … One of my favorite of many things about what the Trump hat represents to me is that people can’t tell me what to do because I’m Black.”
The “College Dropout” also promised to wear keep wearing the MAGA hat, which is something he started doing earlier this year.
“From now on I’m performing with my motherf—in’ hat on,” Kanye tweeted.
“I think you should perform with a motherf—ing straight jacket too,” one person responded.
There were also some who said they cut Ye off, so it doesn’t matter if he performs in the MAGA hat or not.
“Lucky for me I’ve decided to never go to another one of your shows,” someone tweeted. “I’ve been to everyone and Pablo was the best concert experience I’ve ever had. All good, though. Enjoy your hat and everything it represents.”
Kanye’s tweets come after he promised to remove himself from the political conversation, because he said people were manipulating his words.
