Reginae Carter and her boyfriend YFN Lucci have decided to call it quits, and Carter is explaining why.
On episode 9 of “T.I. & Tiny: Family & Friends Hustle” at the 10:32 mark, Toya Wright asked her daughter for an update on her relationship. “So, what are you and your boo Lucci doing?” Carter responded to her mother, “We both just decided to be cool. He do his thing, and I do mine.”
In the confessional Carter went into a little more detail about her decision to step back from her relationship. “We decided to just cool down a little bit. We were kind of going through something.” A clip from a deleted scene from a previous episode, showed Lucci telling Carter she will be his date, without asking her. Carter then explained that she didn’t really want to discuss the breakup. “It was a a lot going on, that’s why I could barely talk about this right now.”
Wright commended her daughter on her decision to break up with the 27-year-old father of four. “I think that’s best. I just want you to stay in your own world and focus on you.”
Some would say a mother’s advice is always right, especially in this situation. Wright told Carter from episode 1 that she wasn’t a fan of her boyfriend. “I don’t like the age difference. I don’t like the fact that he have four kids, because I mean you trying to be stepmom, honey,” she told her eldest daughter. However, she allowed her daughter to go through the experience on her own and to learn from it.
