Why Erica Mena Says She Will Not Be Returning to ‘Love and Hip Hop’

VH1 star Erica Mena recently announced on social media that she wouldn’t be returning back to the “Love and Hip Hop” franchise right now because she’s seemingly tired of making other people famous.

Mena was featured on season 7 of “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” after quitting the reality series in 2015 following her engagement to rapper Bow Wow. She told fans back then, “I honestly felt like throughout the whole season I was the main target. It was actually a moment for me to let off steam and be able to close that chapter of my life.”

However, the Instagram model rejoined the franchise earlier this year. She also appeared on “LHH” through seasons 2–5, but the star said she will not be reappearing on the reality show for the time being.

Mena conducted a Q&A on her Instagram live this week, and one fan asked if she was returning to “LHH.”

She responded, “Not this season. I refused to put anyone on EVER again.” She also added that she’s working on a film and “starring in a movie on Showtime.”

It was rumored that Mena would be making an appearance on season 9 of “LHH” with her new boo Safaree Samuels. The two were spotted together at the Jazz-Nets game on Nov. 28 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The two appeared to be extremely flirty with one another as they held hands while leaving the arena. They were also wearing matching fur coats.

Hours before the pair attended the basketball game, Mena took to Twitter and expressed joy over the new love interest in her life.

“Wow! A man who was loved by his mother correctly growing up is a Man that is like no other,” the model tweeted. “WTF this is what I been missing 😍🙌🏽🙏🏽.”

One fan expressed their excitement over Mena and Samuel’s new relationship.

“I’m here for it! They cute together!” the person wrote. “Getting the ratings upppp! Lol I’m here for it tho.”
