Wendy Williams was none too pleased with the way “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” newcomers Shamari DeVoe and Ronnie DeVoe approached Kandi Burruss in Sunday night’s episode. And she wasted little time breaking down why.
On the musical couple’s Nov. 18 debut episode, the pair — namely Bell Biv DeVoe’s Ronnie — decided to give Xscape member Burruss some tips on her performances.
“You got some pointers you want to give Kandi?” Shamari, a member of the group Blaque, asked her husband, whose band opened for Burruss’ over the summer.
“The show was amazing,” he begins. “Y’all sound f–king incredible. Y’all got hits. Placement, placement. You know, just so the show just takes ’em on a journey.”
“What are you saying, Ronnie DeVoe?” Williams says in response. “With your big mouth wife. … Kandi wrote ‘808,’ by the way, back in the day for Blaque. Yass! Kandi is a writing beast. So, she wrote for Blaque.”
While Burruss wrote the remix and not the original “808” — that credit goes to R. Kelly and late Blaque member Natina Reed — fans agreed and shared their own thoughts on the scene.
“And I definitely agree like who sis thought he was when his wife did a HORRIBLE job in that studio 😩 so sorry ”
“Shamari ask her husband did he have any pointers he wanted to give Kandi he just didn’t come out and start his wife was the one begin messy.”
“I agree with Kandi but they make drama😂😂😂😂😂.”
