Snoop Dogg finally will be awarded his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The legendary rapper and actor will be presented his star on Monday, Nov. 19, by late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel. President and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Leron Gubler, Dr. Dre, and Quincy Jones will accompany Kimmel during the dedication ceremony.
Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame and radio host Angie Martinez said in statement: “Snoop Dogg is one of those people who can do anything. He raps, he acts, he hosts a television show, he cooks, and helps community kids with his philanthropic work. He is a man of the ages and we welcome him to our Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
Snoop’s award is well-deserved, being that he is definitely a jack-of-all-trades. Last month he dropped his own cookbook, “From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes From Tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen.” In March the West Coast rapper displayed his musical versatility with the release of his gospel album “Bible of Love.” His collaborators included many of gospel’s biggest names, such as Fred Hammond, John P. Kee, Marvin Sapp and The Clark Sisters, and the album topped the Billboard gospel chart for seven weeks.
He will be awarded his star on Nov. 19 at 11:30 p.m. in a live stream on WalkofFame.com.
