As Michelle Obama continues to make the rounds to promote her new memoir, “Becoming,” the former first lady made a call to “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” and got a hilariously surprising admission from Steve Harvey.
Obama and Harvey discussed the recording process for her audiobook and then dove into how relatable the content was.
“I’m like you,” Harvey says around the 1:10-minute mark during the Tuesday, Nov. 13 chat. “I’m becoming. I’m trying to get myself together.
“You’re trying to become everything,” Obama says of the comedian’s multi-hyphenate job titles.
“Man, I need it,” he replies. “‘Cause I found out something. I was having real allergic reactions and I didn’t know it. And I discovered it about — I think it’s maybe 20 years ago, 15 — I’m actually allergic to poverty. And it was causing me so many problems. I said, ‘I gots to end this’ and so I just start saying ‘yes’ to everything.”
Obama couldn’t contain her laughter as she was heard cackling in the background as Harvey completed his joke.
Fans who heard the interview ate up the public bonding moment.
“This was a great Interview; My favorite Morning Radio Show! Love you & the Crew; Keep up the great Work!”
