Parker Curry Gets Michelle Obama’s Attention Again with Artful Tribute: ‘I Love It’

The little girl who marveled at the official portrait of Michelle Obama at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery, Parker Curry, decided to dress as Mrs. Obama’s portrait for Halloween.

Curry’s twitter account shared a photo of her posing and wearing a very similarly patterned dress to the one the former first lady was wearing in her portrait. The caption read, “Happy  #Halloween! Can you guess who I am?”

Mrs. Obama discovered the tweet and let Curry know that she loved her costume. She tweeted, “You nailed the look, Parker! I love it!!!!”

Fans instantly replied with admiration for the former White House occupant being a great role model.

“Thank you for giving our girls a role model that looks like us!! This made me fill up with happy tears.”

“And who don’t look like you. She is a model for all girls. A model of grace, intelligence, empathy, empowerment and dignity. My four daughters ADORE her.”

“Too perfect. Just incredible, heartwarming, every adjective I can think of.”

“Isn’t she beautiful? She is dressed up as a powerhouse”

Back in February, Curry created quite a bit of fanfare when she actually got to meet Michelle Obama after gazing up at her portrait in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. The former first lady tweeted a video of them dancing together. In the tweet she said, “Parker, I’m so glad I had the chance to meet you today (and for the dance party)! Keep on dreaming big for yourself…and maybe one day I’ll proudly look up at a portrait of you!”
