Tiffany Haddish has reunited with the man who’s afterparty launched a Beyoncé-related mystery for the ages.
The comedian was spotted with none other than Jay-Z Thursday at the City of Hope Spirit of Life Gala 2018 in Santa Monica, Calif. The star-studded event was held Oct. 11 to raise funds for the organization that works to develop life-saving cancer treatments.
Warner/Chappell Publishing CEO and Chairman Jon Platt, who was honored at the gala, recruited Jay and his superstar singer wife Bey to perform at the show, and the couple helped raise $6 million for the cause, according to Forbes.
Haddish was pictured with Jay backstage and even got a hug from the rapper, who recently wrapped his “On the Run II” tour with his spouse. Beyoncé apparently chose to keep her distance from Haddish.
The photo-op came months after Haddish blabbed to GQ about an actress who walked up to Bey at a December 2017 party following Jay-Z’s concert and bit her on the face.
“There was this actress there that’s just, like, doing the mostest,” Haddish told the magazine in March. “She bit Beyoncé in the face. So Beyoncé stormed away, went up to Jay-Z, and was like, ‘Jay! Come here! This b—-’ and snatched him. They went to the back of the room. I was like, ‘What just happened?’ And Beyoncé’s friend walked up and was like, ‘Can you believe this b—- just bit Beyoncé?’”
Rumors swirled about who the possible culprit could be, and fingers ultimately pointed at Sanaa Lathan. The star repeatedly denied she was the biter, though.
“I think it’s the most absurd thing I’ve ever been involved with,” she told Health magazine in May. “Thank God I’ve been in this business for 20 years and have had so many rumors about me. They used to devastate me in my 20s, but in order to survive in this business you just have to let it roll.”
