It seems like T.I. was inspired by JAY-Z, because he opened up about cheating on his wife and received a lot of praise for it.
Tip’s new song is called “The Amazing Mr. F— Up,” featuring Victoria Monét and like Jay’s cut “4:44,” he expressed regret about being unfaithful to his wife Tiny. T.I. also brought up that video of himself slapping the backside of actress Asia’h Epperson a couple of months ago, which made headlines.
“It’s amazing all the sh– I’ve done / Such examples I’ve been setting for my son / All she did was stay down and have my kid / All the time just to realize I ain’t sh– / Such audacity that I must have / To get in mid-company and slap on ass,” he rapped
The positive words about the song came pouring in after Tip posted it to his Instagram page, and many thanked him for his candidness.
“This song relates to a lot of people. Me being one of them,” wrote one fan. “Big up to Tip.”
“Your sharing is wonderful, dear,” wrote another. “I hope to see you share everyday.”
“I love him so much,” a third fan wrote. “The honesty is impeccable, then the ‘ATL’ outro was perfect.”
Recently, the 38-year-old sat down with Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio and talked about how “The Amazing Mr. F— Up” is a huge departure for him but something he had to share.
“I’ve always kind of shied away from even speaking on those types of topics in my music,” said Tip. “I felt like this is a time where the music is dope. I just felt that I had to lay it out, I had to put my cards face up on the table.”
“The Amazing Mr. F— Up” is the first single off T.I.’s new album “Dime Trap,” which comes out this Friday (Oct. 5).
