Wendy Williams Poses Strange Theory About Kanye West’s Support of Donald Trump and it Involves Kim Kardashian

Wendy Williams sounded off on Kanye West during the airing of her talk show Monday, Oct. 1 and the host says the rapper may have an odd agreement with President Donald Trump.

Williams, who appeared in a pre-taped sketch on “Saturday Night Live” on Sept. 29, discussed West’s rant in support of President Donald Trump.

“They said, ‘don’t go out there with that hat on,'” West said as SNL went off-air. “They bullied me backstage. They bullied me! And then they say I’m in a sunken place. You want to see the sunken place? OK, I’ma listen to y’all now — or I’ma put my Superman cape on, ’cause this means you can’t tell me what to do. Follow your heart and stop following your mind. That’s how we’re controlled. That’s how we’re programmed. If you want the world to move forward, try love.”

According to Williams, West and POTUS may have an arrangement between them and that could be the reason for West’s outspoken support of Trump.

“There could be a theory you know when he met with Trump at Trump Tower in the very beginning of Trump being Trump, they could have had an agreement,” Williams says. “‘Kanye, I need you to lead the charge for Black love, for me [Trump]’ and ‘In return, Mr. Trump, I need you help me clean up my wife’s image a little more.'”

Fans didn’t say much about the theory Williams shared but they did give their two cents about the pro-Trump ways of West, who announced before his SNL appearance that he’d be known as Ye.

“People think being controversial means you can say just about anything and not be held responsible for their thoughts Kanye is a trump supporter and needs to be treated as such smh what a damn shame. His thoughts are so basic and common and not even as groundbreaking as people hype them out to be. Yawn. Make your thought process great again.”

“Kanye is mad that Obama didn’t personally help Chicago. Can someone ask him what Trump or Ben Carson has done to help Chicago?”

“Kanye is delusional. The kardashian lifestyle destroyed his sanity.”

Still independent.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
