As Rihanna continues to up her business game, longtime fans of the singer are beyond ready for new music.
Members of the Navy, as her fanbase is known, have been bombarding the entrepreneur with questions and comments about when she’ll release the follow-up album to 2016’s “Anti.”

There was no exception when Rih promoted her Savage Fenty lingerie fashion show live on YouTube on Sept. 12.
“Where is the music sis😔😔.”
“WHERE IS THE ALBUM RELEASE THE DAMN ALBUM.”
“Avon again! Gurl release the MUSIC.”
“Ugh I thought this was a music announcement 🙄🙄🙄.”
“Girlll i’m muf—intieedddd, where is the m.u.s.i.c.???”
The last comment spurred a response from Rihanna.
“@queenofzaire_ I know, I know sis. I’m doing music. Simultaneously doing lingerie, makeup, film, amongst a couple other things that I enjoy. When the music is ready, you won’t have to ask for it. But it’s coming. Just not today sis. I’m hype too tho, it can’t come soon enough for me. #Navy4Life.”
It’s true that the past two years Rih has been focusing on growing her empire outside of music. She’s continued her collaboration with Puma through her Fenty Puma apparel line and released Fenty Beauty last year. The makeup line has won praise for its inclusive shade range. And more recently Rihanna dropped her lingerie line, Savage X Fenty as she continues to expand the products included in her beauty line.
Still, Rih hasn’t abandoned music completely. She’s treated fans to some new songs here and there as a featured artist on Kendrick Lamar’s “Loyalty” and DJ Khalid’s “Wild Thoughts.” She also sang on N.E.R.D.’s “Lemon.”
Several fans, however, were OK with waiting patiently for new tunes.
