Phaedra Parks is taking control of her love life by getting in on the dating app craze.
The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star told “Bossip on WE” that she is getting back into the swing of things with the help of modern technology.
When Bossip asked the former “RHOA” star did Star Jones encourage her to join a dating app, the attorney responded “I recently joined [a dating app] like all of 24 hours ago.”
Parks has spent the last few years focusing on raising her young sons Dylan and Ayden Nida while dipping her toes into the modeling business. So it doesn’t appear that love was particularly on the brain since she split from Apollo Nida, except for a moment in November where the Atlanta-based attorney seemed to confirm she was seeing actor Shemar Moore.
“The look on #bae face when you tell him tonight is your night 💫 @swatcbs premieres on @cbstv & @globaltv @10/9c #1 #babygirl Tune in! Set your DVR!,” she said on Instagram last year with a photo of her kissing Moore on the cheek.
Whether Parks was teasing fans or declaring the pair was official isn’t entirely clear, but she’s definitely back on the market as of late.
Parks’ freedom is undoubtedly welcome after she spent three years getting her divorce from Nida settled.
The RHOA alum decided to call it quits with Nida after he became embroiled in a scheme that resulted in him being sentenced to eight years in prison for bank fraud and identity theft. The divorce was initially finalized in 2016, but it was overturned the following year when a judge reversed the judgment, according to Us Weekly.
But once the couple’s five-year marriage officially came to an end, Parks began looking to date.
She famously said during her time on RHOA that she wouldn’t date until the law said her union was through.
“I am a Christian, and I don’t feel it’s appropriate to date until you’re legally divorced,” she told E! News. “Once I divorce I will definitely consider dating, but at this point my sons are my first priority.”
