Fans Say Evelyn Lozada Owes Tami Roman an Apology After Explosive Confrontation with Jennifer Williams

Sunday night’s episode of “Basketball Wives of L.A.” took fans by surprise after learning that Jennifer Williams was talking about Evelyn Lozada‘s mothering skills.

On episode 6 of “BBW”, a rumor came out that Lozada slept with one of Shaunie O’Neal‘s exes. However, Tami Roman accused Williams of telling her the rumor a year ago when they both were at odds with Lozada.

Lozada arranged a sit down between O’Neal and Williams during their trip in Amsterdam. Lozada was on a mission to prove that Roman was the stem of the rumor. The co-star’s meeting became explosive and led to the ending of Lozada’s friendship with Williams.

O’Neal told Lozada that Williams called her a “bad mother” and said her daughter Shaniece Hairston was a “whore.” Lozada was an emotional wreck and broke down in tears. She said her friendship with Williams was “over.”

However, fans were more concerned with Lozada’s stance with Roman and said she owes the comedian a “big apology” after finding out that Williams was lying the whole time.

“Evelyn Lozada owes @TamiRoman an apology for trying so hard to prove Tami was a liar, if nothing else #BasketballWives,” one person wrote.

“Evelyn I think you should apologize to Tami,” said one fan.

“Evelyn Lozada make up with Tami already and lets have one big happy family away from Jennifer cos its obvious now, she’s a liar!”

“I think you should have a chat with Tami just to say you make amends and how Jen is a liar.”

One person commented, “I think you Ev owe Tami an apology ..cause she only brought up one of the malicious rumers “your friend” was spreading.”

Fans also wondered if Lozada would reconcile with Roman after finally finding out the truth.

“I wonder if @TamiRoman and @EvelynLozada can have some type of relationship now that Evelyn knows there were facts to what Tami was saying.”

Still independent.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
