Young Thug Hit With Eight New Felony Counts For 2017 Arrest

It appears that Young Thug’s 2017 arrest has landed him in serious trouble.

TMZ reports that the Atlanta rapper, real name Jeffrey Lamar Williams, was hit with eight felony charges for possessing, with an intent to distribute, methamphetamine, hydrocodone, amphetamine, Alprazolam and marijuana. Thug was also charged with illegal possession of a firearm.

The charges come almost a year to the date after a car Thug was driving in was pulled over near Atlanta for having dark windows.

Two other men, Cedric Jones and Sergio Kitchens, were also in the car. Jones was slapped with the charges of possession of marijuana and theft by stolen property and Kitchen with marijuana possession.

The felony charges come shortly after Young Thug was arrested in Los Angeles. Police found a gun in his car outside an album release party in Hollywood, but the rapper was the only one taken in. His bail was listed at $35,000, and the two other men were released.

Since news of the felony charges surfaced, Thug posted a photo of himself looking pensive, which could be his way of addressing everything. “Caption this,” he wrote. “Best comment gets a surprise.”

For some reason, hardly anyone addressed the felony charges in the comments, and the rapper’s legal team hasn’t said anything either. But last year his attorney Brian Steel said the allegations are completely “false.”
