After reports emerged that the Braxtons would film a session with life coach Iyanla Vanzant, it appears the taping already has happened and it allegedly didn’t go well.
Sources told the Jasmine Brand Tuesday, Sept. 4, that when Towanda Braxton, Toni Braxton, Trina Braxton, Tamar Braxton, Traci Braxton and their parents Evelyn Braxton and Michael Braxton sat with Vanzant last week, the meeting did not go as planned.
Apparently, the session with the OWN TV star didn’t sit well with some of the members of the famous family. In fact, matters went so far south during the counseling, which is said to be intended to air on “Braxton Family Values,” that relations allegedly have worsened among the sisters. As for when viewers will be able to see some footage from the taping, insiders claim one of the sisters could post the conflict online.
Upon the initial report about Vanzant’s involvement, it was said that Traci wanted the “Iyanla: Fix My Life” host to help her sisters give their support to her. All of the Braxtons decided not to show up on the set of their WE tv series earlier this summer, but Traci still arrived to film. As the rest of her sisters allegedly disputed pay, Traci went on to film at a cattle ranch with former “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks. That casting change fired up the other Braxtons — especially Towanda and Tamar, who said they were “blindsided” by Parks’ inclusion on the show.
“I financed [the show] and it’s like, what’s jacked up is the lack of respect. And no one should be blindsided,” Tamar explained on Instagram Live last month. “No one should have somebody else on the show that they didn’t approve of and didn’t work hard for. And I haven’t seen any episodes — please don’t ask me. I have nothing against Phaedra.”
