Countess Vaughn Fans Rally Around Her Amid News of Restraining Order Being Granted Against Abusive Boyfriend

Actress Countess Vaughn has secured a restraining order against her boyfriend after accusing him of recently throwing bleach in her face following a decade of abuse.

A Los Angeles judge signed off on an order for David Benjamin Richard Whitten to stay 100 yards away from the former “The Parkers” actress and her children — one of whom she shares with Whitten — according to a Thursday, Aug. 23 report from TMZ.

Among the abusive actions Witten is said to have committed against the “Hollywood Divas” star, she’s endured emotional, verbal and physical abuse — which includes allegations of strangulation, beating, slapping and sexual assault — from her boyfriend for 10 years.

Witten, who Vaughn claims has grappled with insecurity whenever the actress makes headway in her career, allegedly tossed bleach in Vaughn’s face in June. She claimed it was to keep her from landing any new acting gigs.

Additionally, the ex-“Moesha” actress said Witten at times threatened to kill her and vowed to leak sexually compromising videos of her.

Documents state she’s afraid for the kids’ safety if Whitten goes near them.

A hearing is set for next month to discuss the issue.

In the meantime, it appears Vaughn is keeping her head up. She posted an inspirational text message on Instagram Thursday, the same day that news broke about the restraining order being granted.

“Psalm 126. God asked me to tell you: that everything will be fine from now on … you will be victorious and you will reach all your goals. Today Jesus Christ visited your house, on his way he brought all your worry with him.”

In response, several fans posted messages encouraging the star during her legal battle.

“@countessdvaughn hang in there, heard the story about the abusive relationship. Hope ur able to get away from him for good!!!”

“Praying for you during this time ♥️♥️♥️.”

“I’m sorry so to hear about the abuse you have endured for years. You are such a beautiful and caring soul. I pray complete healing for you and your kids. May Yahweh grant you true peace and healing. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽.”
