Nicki Minaj is engaged in a serious back and forth with her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels, and she’s accused him of behavior that’s bound to cause plenty of chatter.
On Monday (Aug. 13), the “Barbie Dreams” rapper stopped by Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex’s show, where they settled a longtime beef they had.
But after Nicki and Flex smoothed things over, they got into her current issues with Safaree, because in the past he said that she didn’t write her own lyrics and he penned them for her.
The way Nicki sees it, Safaree made the ghostwriting accusation because he knew how much it would bother her.
“You don’t know the f—ked up sh-t he did to me,” she told Flex. “It don’t give you a right to lie about someone’s craft just because you know that they’re a woman and people will believe you. So now years later you want to come back and say I lied after you’ve tried to tarnish my image. I’ve gotten over it now because you can go and listen to ‘Queen’ and hear it for your mothaf–king self.”
Afterwards, the Young Money member said Safaree stole money from her and paid for prostitutes. She then reiterated how much it bothered her that he claimed to have written her lyrics.
“For one person to do something like this to me out of sheer weakness and passive aggression and just hatefulness and vindictiveness, because you got caught sh–ting on a person who was taking care of you for years and years? asked Nicki. “Because you got caught sh–ting on a person who was taking care of you while you were paying for prostitutes and stealing their credit cards?”
Nicki then turned the tables and said Safaree didn’t write his own rhymes and stole lyrics from others, including a Trinidadian MC who once confronted him about it.
It didn’t take long for the “Love and Hip-Hop: Hollywood” star to respond to all this. But first he accused Nicki of cheating on him with Meek Mill, which is something he accused her of before. He then addressed the credit card and prostitute thing.
“We know each other inside out,” wrote Safaree. “Everything there was for us. I didn’t use your card for prostitutes. We both didn’t trust each other. You did sh–, I did sh–. You said you were messing with Meek a few years before y’all got together, and I’m not mad at that.”
Safaree also said that Nicki once tried to kill him with a knife, and he was brought to the hospital.
“Remember the night you cut me, and I almost died,” he wrote. “The police and ambulance had to take me out the crib on a stretcher, and I had to lie and tell them I was trying to kill myself, so they wouldn’t take you to jail. When things like that start happening more than once it’s time to dip.”
Nicki then took to Twitter and said Safaree has a fake hairline, and she decided to expose Tyga as well.
“I should’ve never paid for that gyatDamn hairline,” she wrote. “It fell back out ’cause God don’t like ugly. You used me, but God had other plans … Tyga sh– ain’t fall back out. Y’all went to the same doctor. Your’s fell out, ’cause God don’t like ugly.”

Safaree answered that tweet and although he didn’t deny getting cosmetic surgery, he said Nicki’s story is a little off. He also suggested that she leaked some nude photos of him.
“First off, me and Tyga didn’t go to the same doctor,” he tweeted. “We did it the same day, different doctors. Listen, I don’t know if this has to do with first week sales, but you need to finish your zen.”
Afterwards, Nicki’s fans congratulated her and said she had every right to expose Safaree based on the accusations she made.
“I know Nicki feel liberated as hell right now,” one person tweeted. “I’m happy my sis not letting people get over anymore, and that she’s standing up for herself . She’s gon’ through so much over the years and stayed quiet. Glad her side is being heard.”
“I’m here for all of this,” wrote someone else. “My sis was minding her business living her best life for years while everyone talked sh-t. Now she’s back, and she ain’t lifting her foot up.”
