Slim Thug isn’t buying that Ciara is happy in her marriage to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. The rapper explained his reasoning during a stop on 97.9 The Box Thursday, Aug. 2 saying that the singer’s ex-fiancé exemplifies why she can’t possibly be satisfied with Wilson.
“Do a woman who used to talk to Future really want a Russell Wilson?” he asks pointedly. “I don’t believe it. I think it’s all for financial stability. I don’t think that — after you like the dude who cool, homeboy just … “No hate, I bought his shoes the other day for the Sugar Daddy Slim outfit. I’m just saying, I have no personal issue with him, or her, God bless them.
“He’s just a corny dude, ain’t nothing wrong with it,” Thug adds. “I ain’t gonna say corny cause that’s hatin’. He’s just like a square…I don’t believe that a girl who come from a street dude could even adapt to it.”
Thug stopped short of saying CiCi is a golddigger by acknowledging the “Level Up” performer has earned her own success, but he doesn’t believe their relationship is “real.”
Meanwhile, folks online have been weighing in on Slim’s remarks.
“Darn it, doesn’t Every Gurl deserve at least ONE Thug and a Bow Wow or 2 when they young? Then we grow up, evolve and Level UP. Double standard. Men would never wife up sum of their thots.”

Ciara was in a relationship with Future from 2013 until it ended in a broken engagement the following year. Before their split, however, she welcomed their son Future Zahir.
Afterward, Ciara began dating Wilson in 2016 before getting engaged in 2016. They famously remained celibate until after they became man and wife and then quickly became pregnant with their first child together.
