Kanye West Gives Dad Best Possible Treatment After Cancer Diagnosis

Kanye West is said to be looking to foster a stronger relationship with his father after learning he’s been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The rapper is said to have put everything on hold to be by the side of Ray West, according to a report from TMZ. The Sunday, July 29 article cited a source who denied Ray was battling stomach cancer, which had been previously reported.

Sources say Ray has been responding well to the treatment he’s been obtaining in Los Angeles and it seems the rapper’s dad will pull through as of now.

Ahead of the news, Ye was spotted dining with his pops at Nobu’s Malibu, Calif., location in March. It was a rare sighting for the father-son duo, who have remained cordial in the years since the elder West divorced the star’s mother, Donda West when he was a child.

Although Kanye’s father is ailing, the positive thing about Ray getting treatment in L.A. is that he’s been able to spend time with his son, Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian and their three children, TMZ reported Wednesday.

Since Ray actually lives in Chicago, there’s been a considerable physical distance between the elder West and his son. The duo is said to be taking advantage of dad’s proximity, allowing them to strengthen their bond.

West’s urge to take care of his father comes nearly 11 years after his mother died of heart disease after suffering complications from two cosmetic procedures in 2007.

Amid news of the rapper’s dad’s diagnosis, fans have been offering support online.

“Oh wow this isn’t good. Kanye barely survived his mother’s death.”

“Cancer is never easy. Prayers for your father and the whole West family.”

“Has a high survival rate 🙏🏽.”

“Wishing a speedy recovery for his dad.”

“Please Give His Family Privacy On This At Least Or Let Him Speak On It, He Going Through Enough, Prayers Though.”
