Cynthia Bailey Stops Eating Red Meat Following NeNe and Gregg Leakes Cancer Crisis

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Cynthia Bailey commended her long-time friend NeNe Leakes for being a great wife to her husband Greg Leakes during his battle with cancer.

The model explained that NeNe has still managed to film for the new and upcoming season of “RHOA” in spite of Greg’s health problems. She said, “They’ve been taking their time.”

Bailey continued, “Greg is the most important priority in her life… They’re super optimistic… Greg has a great attitude… NeNe has been a beast in terms of making sure she does everything she needs to do to be there for him.”

The mother of one said NeNe has been focused on a healthier lifestyle since her husband’s diagnosis and has shared quite a few tips with her. Bailey even made the decision to stop eating red meat.

NeNe confirmed on social media in June that Greg had cancer with the hashtags, “#f—cancer,” “yougotthis” and “#iloveyou.”

Bailey was one of the first people to reach out to the couple and spewed some words of encouragement. She wrote, “God got you guys covered sis.”

The “RHOA” stars have had a rocky friendship over the years. A few seasons ago on the Bravo reality show, Bailey and NeNe were beefing. The comedian called Bailey’s ex-husband Peter Thomas a b**ch and the model didn’t appreciate it at all. However, NeNe and Bailey rekindled their friendship in late 2016.

The 51-year-old told People Magazine, “You know, I’m just really excited at this point that NeNe and I kind of found our way back to being friends because we weren’t friends for a couple years.”

Bailey recently announced on Instagram her new fashion venture. The star posed for a photo in a stunning red dress and gold heels and wrote the hashtags “#staytuned” and “#shoelinecomingsoon.”

The mother of one also revealed that she has a new man in her life and isn’t ruling out the idea of tying the knot.

“The door was closed to marriage, and the door has opened itself back up. I’m not kicking it open but it ain’t closed,” she said.
