Natural beauty brand Shea Moisture is making it their mission to provide entrepreneurial opportunities and support to women of color looking to start their own businesses.

Over the weekend, brand CEO Richelieu Dennis announced the launch of the New Voices Fund, a $100 million initiative dedicated to providing Black women entrepreneurs with unmatched access to the capital, expertise and resources they need to run a successful business.

“ … About six months ago, we announced that we were launching the new voices fund,” Dennis said during a press conference at Essence Festival, according to Vibe. “I’m proud to say that we get to officially launch the $100 million New Voices Fund for women of color entrepreneurs. Over the past six months, we’ve already either invested in or committed to, over $30 million in black women entrepreneurs.”

According to the fund’s website, the initiative is meant to “… support start-ups, establish businesses and community-based enterprises. The goal is to deliver unprecedented impact to our communities by ensuring New Voices of entrepreneurship learn, grow and thrive for generations to come.”

For those interested in applying, the application is now live on the New Voices Fund website.
