New Edition star Ronnie DeVoe isn’t the only one prepping a career comeback of sorts. While he’s set to hit the road with a few of his bandmates as RBRM in September, his wife, Blaque singer Shamari DeVoe, might be gearing up to join the cast of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
An RHOA fan account posted a video of current ‘wives NeNe Leakes, Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Porsha Williams and friend of the show Eva Marcille jamming at ATL Live On The Park music showcase Tuesday, July 10. While Ronnie’s group Bell Biv DeVoe performed, so did Shamari and her fellow Blaque member Brandi Williams.
Fans have been speaking out on if they think Shamari, who recently welcomed twins with her husband of 12 years, would be a good fit on the show.
“I’m here for this one!!!”
“Don’t do it, Sis…Continue to keep yall marriage private. Seems like couples get into trouble when they air their business on these shows…😏.”
“I’m all for another former singer of a group coming on and is married and made a brand for herself. I just wonder if her and Kandi will clash since they both come from groups.”
“This is a BOSS A$$ move [for] her @therealhousewivesofatlanta! I’m all the way here for this! Hell yeah.”
“I don’t think she should involve herself in they drama and pettiness. @shamaridevoe.”
If Shamari does join, she’d be the latest among a few others who are rumored to be replacing Kenya Moore and Shereé Whitfield.
Marcielle was rumored to be taking Moore’s spot in June with sources telling the Jasmine Brand that her storyline would revolve around her life as a second-time new mom and her approaching wedding. Friend of the show Marlo Hampton, who had been seen filming with the ladies in Miami last month, was also said to be joining the cast full time after tweeting, “finally got my peach.”
