“Power” star Naturi Naughton is channeling her fierce but loving character Tasha St. Patrick as she shares her “biggest blessing,” nearly 1-year-old Zuri with fans.
The actress posted a photo of her first child on Instagram Tuesday, July 3 and commenters couldn’t keep calm about what they saw.

Naughton welcomed Zuri on July 19 last year with her longtime boyfriend, Ben. Ahead of giving birth, the former 3LW member told People magazine about the positive impact pregnancy had on her.
“I feel like being pregnant and entering this new stage has made me stronger and more excited about life in general,” she said of the surprise pregnancy. “Everything seems so much more purposeful.”
The star, who learned about her impending bundle of joy while in the middle of shooting “Power” in 2016, recently discussed what it was like to become a mother while playing St. Patrick. During the season four finale of the hit Starz show, the character had to face the shocking and violent death of her daughter, Raina.
“Life is really interesting in so many different ways,” she told Essence’s July/August issue. “As an artist, I was creating this emotionally devastating situation with losing a daughter, but at the same time that I was shooting the scenes about the death of Raina, I was pulling from the fact that I was carrying a life. Choosing to have my beautiful daughter Zuri was the best decision I could have ever made. Not for my career but for me as a human. I’m a better woman; I’m a better person because of her.”
