After working throughout her pregnancy, “Power” actress Naturi Naughton has given birth to her first child with her longtime boyfriend Ben.
“This is the best experience of my life!” Naughton told UsWeekly in a statement about their new bundle of joy, who was born Wednesday, July 19. “Myself and Benjamin are so honored and happy to welcome this beautiful girl into the world!”
The couple’s daughter, whose name has not been announced, weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces and measured 19 inches long when she arrived Wednesday night. A representative for the former 3LW member told Page Six Naughton is “ecstatic” about the baby, noting it “is something that she has dreamed of.”
As Naughton’s dream began to become a reality, the actress didn’t slow down her career. In addition to filming season 4 of the hit Starz series, the star continued to make public appearances, including stepping out as recently as July 12 at Paley Live with her “Power” co-stars.
Naughton’s rep maintains that work ethic will continue now that the baby has arrived.
“She is also very excited to get back to work but will take the proper time to nurture her newborn, bask in her new family and really appreciate this moment,” her rep told Page Six. “She has no plans of slowing down between this year and next year.”
