“Real Housewives of Atlanta” NeNe Leakes posed for a photo with her new circle of friends, but social media users quickly noticed there was one person missing, Miss Cynthia Bailey.
Leakes took to Instagram to post a picture of herself, radio personality Porsha Williams and fashion stylist Marlo Hampton. She wrote the caption, “The Circle.”
Then she followed up with a photo explaining to fans that sometimes it’s necessary to “separate from certain people. Clear out your circle! The extra weight is not needed! Everybody ain’t around for the right reason chile.”
Fans abruptly pointed out that long-time friend Bailey was missing from the image.
One fan wrote, ” You and Porsha friends again? Okay. but where is Cynthia.”
Another person commented, “Sooooooo Cynthia is out of the clique?”
One fan wrote, “Yesssss…I’m here for it! Ain’t 1 person missing?”
Bailey and Leakes have had up and downs in their relationship over the past years. One of the breaking points in their friendship was when Leakes called the model’s husband a b**ch on national television during Kenya Moore’s masquerade party in 2014. Bailey told Bravo host Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live”, “A real lady doesn’t call their best friend’s husband a b*tch.”
She continued, “I want people to know that I was a loyal friend to NeNe, however, I’m actually glad she did that show with you because it actually validated that she was never my friend…. She’s actually my worst enemy.”
The two women were at odds during the Season 4 reunion on RHOA and Leakes even suggested that Bailey should be fired from the show and said to Cohen, “It’s not like she’s really bringing anything to the show… Girl, bye!”
However, Bailey and Leakes mended their friendship in 2016 and the comedian told People magazine that she was happy to have the model back in her life.
Bailey added, “You know, I’m just really excited at this point that NeNe and I kind of found our way back to being friends because we weren’t friends for a couple years.”
