On Sunday’s night episode of the “Real Housewives of Potomac” Monique Samuels was a bit skeptical about donating a check to Karen Huger’s charity event, but later clarified where the money went.
Samuels along with her friends wondered why they were asked to write out checks to Huger’s business IKON Enterprises instead of the Alzheimer’s Association and thought it was a little fishy.
The reality star approached Huger at her O’Charity Dinner about how the situation seemed shady and Huger responded, “I’m doing it the way I’m going to do it, and enough said. We’re done,” Karen told Monique. “That’s none of your business, to be honest.”
The 55-year-old also added in her confessional, “I am hosting this, so it’s going through my business so my accountants can track all funds that will be donated to Alzheimer’s Association directly,” Karen explained during the episode. “So these batches can shut up and write a check.”
Samuels took to Twitter to explain the situation and gave an update to who thanked the reality star for clarifying. “What I learned from [Karen Huger] was that her company paid for the event (room rental, food, etc).”
What I learned from @KARENHUGER was that her company paid for the event (room rental, food, etc). The Alzheimer’s Association was there and present. They received all of the donations that night directly #rhop https://t.co/F0dIq2arlZ

Huger organized the dinner in honor of her mother’s battling with Alzheimer’s who died in November 2017 and her mother-in-law.
