A Washington D.C high school cheerleader asked her wheelchair-bound friend to prom in the sweetest way.

According to Daily Mail, Anacostia High School cheerleader Keyonna Moore already had a date to the prom but changed her mind and decided to ask her friend Tyuan Malik Barbour. Barbour was born with several disabilities and has to remain in a wheelchair which prevents him from enjoying a lot of activities.

Moore found Barbour in the cafeteria and approached him with a big sign that said, “Prom?” She also had purple balloons and friends recording the heartwarming prom-posal.

The cheerleader told FOX 5,”I just wanted to show him that he matters and give him the attention and kindness that he deserves. I believe that everyone should be treated like beautiful Kings and Queens.”

Barbour’s family was overjoyed to find out the touching video went viral.  “She found it in her heart to want to make a difference for someone with special needs. Not for social media and not just to get people to like her for doing something so good but from the kindness of her heart,” Barbour’s cousin said.

This will be the first time Barbour ever attended a school dance.
