K. Michelle isn’t the only one who’s had issues with illegal butt injections. Cardi B, who also appeared on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop” series, opened up about her less than appealing health scare with the botched job.
And it’s not pretty.
The star explained in the May 2018 issue of GQ that as a young stripper, she didn’t have enough, ahem, assets to be the best at her job.
“All right, here’s the thing. When I was 21, I did not have enough meat on my body,” she said. “If I was to get lipo, I wouldn’t have fat for my ass.”
The now-pregnant “Be Careful” performer decided to enhance her booty to earn more money and get back at a boyfriend who cheated on her with a more well-endowed woman.
In 2014, Cardi, who developed a following on Instagram as a stripper after the procedure, went to a Queens, New York basement apartment and paid a woman $800 to inject filler in her rear end.
“They don’t numb your ass with anything,” she said. “It was the craziest pain ever. I felt like I was gonna pass out. I felt a little dizzy. And it leaks for, like, five days.”
Regardless, the “Love and Hip Hop: New York” alum was pleased with her results and wanted to get a touch-up later on. However, authorities had shown up to the apartment before Cardi did.
“By the time I was gonna go get it, the lady got locked up ’cause she’s supposedly killed somebody,” she said. “Well, somebody died on her table.”
Online, folks readily chimed in about the botched job.
“Cardi B is such a bad b—- she got a back alley butt injection from a lady who killed someone in a motel basement instead of going to a regular plastic surgeon like a normal person and not a f—— troglodyte,” one person fired off.
“Black women & butt injections lmao,” someone else said.
“@iamcardib got butt injections 😭 & I was really working hard to get a butt like hers too… now I give up,” said another user. “Lol. How much are the injections tho? 👀 asking for a friend 😂 .”
