Award-winning rapper Jay-Z sat down with David Letterman on his Netflix show “My Next Guess Needs No Introduction” and spoke a bit about white male privilege. Fox and Friends guest Christopher Harris weighed in on the comments and discussed why the rapper is unqualified to make statements about privilege.
Jay-Z told Letterman, “He’s bringing out an ugly side of America that we wanted to believe was gone and its still here and we still got to deal with it.” He continued, “we have to have tough conversations. We have to talk about why white men are so privileged in this country.”
Harris reacted to the clip of the rapper’s interview, “I think he’s (Jay-Z) is precisely the wrong person to have this conversation. He continues to promote a.. divisive message.” He continued, ” The left is actually promoting him because he is a shiny object to distract people. It’s kind of like how a hypnotist uses a spinning wheel to get your attention off of other things, that’s all they are simply doing with him.”
