Sloane Stephens Celebrates Miami Open Win with Cute Photo Shoot

After 25-year-old Sloane Stephens beat competitor Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia 7-6 (5), 6-1 in Key Biscayne, Florida, the superstar athlete posed for a victory photoshoot celebrating her win.

Stephens secured the bag for $1.3 million after her Miami Open victory.

The Florida native is quickly becoming the new darling of American tennis. She debuted on the professional scene in 2007 and has since won six singles titles including her first Grand Slam last September of 2017 at the US Open.

Of her recent triumph, Stephens wrote on her Instagram page, ” 🏆 in my hometown!!!! Thank you to all of the fans, ball kids, volunteers & sponsors for putting on such a fantastic tournament! Farewell Key Biscayne, you hold a very special spot in my heart 💛💛.”

Stephen also posed with her lead coach Kamau Murray (below left) and coach OG (below right). Reportedly they took the tennis star for pizza at her favorite restaurant after her win.

Unfortunately, tennis fans will have to wait a little while before seeing Stephens back on the court. She withdrew from WTA’s Volvo Car Open on Monday due to fatigue saying Miami left her “completely exhausted/fatigued both physically and mentally.”
