Howard University students continue to be outraged over the financial aid scandal that has rocked the historically Black university and they used a bold Rihanna single to make their feelings known.
On Thursday, March 29, HU students stormed the administrative offices singing “B—- Better Have My Money” after learning that six financial aid workers stole $1 million.
“S—, your wife in the backseat of my brand new foreign car, don’t act like you forgot, I call the shots, shots, shots,” the students sang out. “Like brrap, brrap, brrap.”
Rih gave her seal of approval when she retweeted the clip with the emojis, “💪🏿🙌🏿.”
After the singing, protesters began swag surfing and student activist group Student Power HU requested pizza donations.

Indeed, students occupied the offices during the night, sleeping throughout the administrative building. Student Power HU also reported the university had shut off the air conditioning “in efforts of exhausting student protesters” and by Friday morning, administrative workers had locked themselves in their offices.
The group, which is calling for president Wayne A.I. Frederick to resign has also gone public with a list of their demands. They include “an immediate end to unsubstantiated tuition hikes” and the implementation of a “grievance system to hold faculty and administrators accountable in their language and actions toward students with marginalized identities.”
A press conference is scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, March 30.
In the words of Frederick Douglass, "power concedes nothing without a demand." These are our demands. #StudentPowerHU pic.twitter.com/pnFOefF2KM
