While Mo’Nique kept things rather tame between her and Whoopi Goldberg during “The View” earlier this week, what happened after things wrapped was less than calm.

On the March 1 edition of “Mo’Nique & Sidney’s Open Relationship” podcast, Mo addressed her true thoughts on Goldberg telling her that she should have gone overseas to promote “Precious” in 2009, despite Mo’Nique’s claim that she wasn’t obligated to do so.

The “Queens of Comedy” star said Goldberg spoke to her before going on “The View” and said that if Mo’Nique had spoken to her during the promo debacle, she would have advised her to have her family paid for to fly to Cannes, France.

“Whoopi, and I would have said to you, ‘At what point do we have to say no? Because what you’re saying to me is what’s been said to me throughout my whole career: ‘let’s keep our fingers crossed for the next one,'” Monique says. “‘Let’s hope for the next one and if you get over here and they really like you, they might give you a chance.'”

After the on-camera disagreement, the pair went to Whoopi’s dressing room and “The View” host said that she loves her but that she should take “some real responsibility” and was being “ill-advised” by her husband.

“At that point, I had to grab Whoopi Goldberg’s hands,” Mo’Nique says. “As we were sitting across the table from one another. And I said, ‘Sister, let me tell you about my husband because you’re misinformed and you’re making statements that you don’t really know what you’re talking about. But let me fill you in when you say it’s my husband.

‘See, I’ve had the big white manager, I’ve had the big white agent, I’ve had the big attorney firm all in Hollywood and every one of them that I’ve had when I’d walk into those meetings, I would watch those people cheat me. … And they would say to me, ‘We’ll get ’em the next time, Mo’Nique.’ … The reason why my husband is considered to be a problem is because when we’re in those meetings with those executives, they can’t answer his questions.'”

She added she appreciated the personal stories Goldberg shared with her, which inspired her to “fight even harder.” So despite the “Sister Act” star telling Mo’Nique to “let it go,” the Netflix boycott spearheader isn’t backing down.

“Because we keep letting it go, is why we keep f—— over us,” she says. “So I can’t let it go — we’ve moved on, that’s just life, you’ve gotta move on — but you can’t let go when you’ve been bullied.”
