“They always come back to BLACK,” according to famed comedian Godfrey.
The comedic actor took to Instagram this week to share his brutally honest thoughts after seeing a Black woman caring for an elderly white woman as he walked down the street. The sight didn’t sit well with him, to say the least.
“See what happens everybody. See, when white folks get old they look to us for help,” said Godfrey. “Ya know, I don’t know her business, but I’m theorizing. She could’ve hated Black folks, could’ve hated us living in their neighborhoods and all that. Now she’s in her twilight years and guess who she needs to help her: Black people.
The comedian pointed how Black women are constantly disrespected, yet always expected to lend a helping hand. And his message to Black men? Start better respecting our women.
“We gotta stop being irresponsible brothas, for real, and start respecting Black women,” he said. ” … I gotta keep it real and honest, f–k that. F–k all the tap dancin’ around the bs.”
