Good Morning America sat down with the creator of popular Facebook page Black Fathers during a segment last week Tuesday. The page is meant to change the negative image of Black fathers as well as provide a space for empowerment and support.

In 2009, creator Matt Prestbury went through a divorce and become a single father of four. Prestbury needed a place of support where he could connect with others like himself. “I felt isolated as a father and I really wanted to create something that was.. the brotherhood of fatherhood,” he said.

Now, something that started as a small community of men has gained over 30,000 members. The page now offers father-son workshops and provides legal advice for fathers going through custody battles.
