- An arrest warrant has been issued for Floyd Mayweather Sr.. According to TMZ, Mayweather Sr. allegedly dragged and punched a woman in the leg for not getting out of his car. Mayweather Sr. denied these allegations and his representative believes the woman is trying to cash in.
- Nelly’s sexual assault accuser Monique Greene went to court and asked the judge to order the raper not to “rape” any more women. Greene claims that Nelly “is particularly attracted to women who were resistant.”

- Tiffany Haddish apologizes to Michael H. Weber for pronouncing his name wrong when announcing the Oscar nominees. “I am so sorry I can say your name. I just felt like I was a substitute teacher in a Key and Peele skit. I was having an unreal experience. So Greatful your[sic] are cool Congratulations!”
- Former President Barack Obama officiated the wedding for two of his former staffers. Dana Remus was the lawyer for his administration and said, “We had decided to invite him because he was such an important part of our lives, we asked him if he could attend the wedding. We also asked him if he could officiate it, and he was intrigued with the idea.”

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.
