Mariah Carey made her way to the stage once again for New Year’s Eve, performing on ABC’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest”. Although many are praising Carey for redeeming herself from last year’s debacle, others have mixed feelings about her performance.

I am hooked on this yearly traditionary train wreck of a performance by Mariah Carey during New Year’s Eve. It’s fantastic.

Who can forget last year’s disaster? Carey had a semi-musical meltdown in front of the world. There were technical glitches, an audio track malfunction, unprofessional backup dancers, and shaky vocals. She also blamed Dick Clark Productions for purposely sabotaging her. However, Carey made it her mission to redeem herself, singing her 90s hits in frigid temperatures.
Despite her good but not a stellar performance, people are questioning whether Carey’s redemption attempt was actually a letdown.

I wouldn't call it flawless

It was shaky. She can't hit the high notes anymore. A hero came along, the hero was the choir.

Better than last year at least. Not the same MC from years ago though.
