Omarosa Manigault Newman announced her White House resignation Thursday (Dec. 14) on Good Morning America. As she explained her difficult decision to step down from her position to host Michael Strahan, she admits that she and Senator Kelly had candid conversations about the overwhelming “concerns” she had. She quotes, “As a result, I resigned.”
Many people were happy to see Newman’s departure from the White House, including CNN political commentator Angela Rye. Rye responded to Manigault’s comment she made on GMA of which she states, “When I have my story to tell as the only African-American woman in this White House, I have seen things that have made me uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally, that has affected my community and my people,” she said. Rye burst out into laughter and responded, “Bye girl. Bye, honey! You haven’t done anything for the community, you are skin folk, we don’t own you like Zora..goodbye, good riddance!”

You should want one that says we are KINFOLK. Skinfolk are the reason our ancestors were in the belly of slaveships. We don’t fool with skinfolk. https://t.co/tALYLv2BD4
