And the Celebrity Apprentice pink slip of the week goes to Omaroasa Manigault!
In Sunday’s episode of the business competition series, Donald Trump fired the most famous villain the show has ever invited to the boardroom — after she and Dennis Rodman placed at the bottom of this week’s business challenge.
Omarosa and Rodman were on the bottom with $12K and $10K respectively, but in the heated argument that ensued, the former NBA player insisted he went all out on the task. He defended himself by noting he not only created his own piece of art, but also successfully got Derek Jeter to donate a signed bat which sold for $50,000.
To make matters worse, Omarosa’s case wasn’t helped by the fact Piers Morgan, the very first Celebrity Apprentice winner, returned as a judge with a grudge for the controversial contestant. He reported more than once that she is “not a celebrity,” challenging her relevance on the show. “I would fire Omarosa,” Piers exclaimed, as if he couldn’t wait for the words to leave his lips.
The sharp-tongued diva threw Lil Jon all the way under the bus, insisting he was at fault for them losing the challenge. The rapper himself expressed he would rather work with Rodman despite his earlier statement that the one bringing the least money should be fired.
Trump interrupted the intense exchange telling Omarosa:
“I adore you. We’ve had tremendous success together. You helped make The Apprentice. You helped to make me a star.”
He then added, “But Omarosa, you’re fired.”
This wasn’t the first time Omaroasa heard those words from Trump. This marks the second time the 39-year-old was fired by Trump. Her claim to fame arose out of her bad girl image on the original season of The Apprentice in 2004.
