Delta Airlines isn’t taking the blame for Jason Mitchell’s profanity-laden tirade after he arrived on a recent flight to discover his first-class seat was taken.
The “Straight Outta Compton” actor was captured on a tape, obtained by TMZ Sunday, Aug. 27, angrily cussing out a fellow passenger and calling him a “p—y” before a flight attendant requests that Mitchell gets off the plane.
As a Delta official relayed to TMZ, the airline did not overbook the flight as Mitchell believed. Instead, Mitchell missed the flight for which he had a first-class ticket and was booked on standby for a later departure. The only seat available on that flight, where the rant took place, was “comfort plus.”

“Man, f— that! No, I ain’t getting off s—!” Mitchell says after he previously proclaimed he arrived at the flight on time. “I paid my money! F— what you’re talkin’ ’bout! ‘Cause I’m not a problem! I paid my money, man! I got my confirmation, I got everything! I got my boarding pass. Why is he sitting in my seat?”
Mitchell repeatedly showed his boarding pass to personnel before getting fed up. He pointedly screamed, “F— you, f— you, f— you” to the crew and demanded to be let off the flight.
Police insiders told TMZ the star, who played late rapper Eazy-E in the hit N.W.A. biopic, was handcuffed and detained when he got off the plane. He was released, however, when Delta declined to press charges.
Mitchell has yet to publicly respond to the situation.
