The mother of Amber Rose’s ex-husband, Wiz Khalifa, has hit the entrepreneur with a defamation lawsuit claiming Rose deemed her an unfit caregiver.
Rose allegedly made a June 19 phone call intended for her former mother-in-law, Katie Wimbush-Polk, but it was answered by a 5-year-old girl, according to documents obtained by the Observer-Reporter. Rose, whose legal name is Amber Rose Levonchuck, allegedly “launched into a profane attack” before Wimbush-Polk’s friend, Danesa Letic, took the phone from the child.
Among the more damning accusations In the lawsuit, which was filed in a Washington County, Pa., court July 3 , is the claim that when Letic identified herself, Rose accused her son’s grandmother of being responsible for the death of Dorien Thomaz, Wimbush-Polk’s son, who died after battling lymphoma in February. Rose also supposedly claimed Wimbush-Polk wasn’t fit to visit or care for Rose’s and Wiz’s 4-year-old son, Sebastian.
The suit further claims that Rose made the phone call in retaliation for Wimbush-Polk allegedly sending social services to Rose’s California home. The department visit happened the same day as the phone call, however, the filing states that plaintiff “made no such report at or around that time.”
Wimbush-Polk is seeking $50,000 in damages and claims the call was “[intended] to harm” her reputation, decrease community respect for her and prevent others from associating with her.
Neither Khalifa nor Rose have responded to the filing.
