Queen Latifah Says There’s a ‘Living Single’ Reboot In the Works

Much to the delight of fans everywhere, entertainment icon Queen Latifah revealed Thursday that the cast of “Living Single” is in the process of trying to bring back the popular 1990s comedy.

Andy Cohen asked the actor/singer/rapper during the Jan. 12 edition of “What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” if the hit Fox sitcom would return to the airwaves in some incarnation like Netflix’s “Fuller House” and Disney’s canceled “Boy Meets World” spinoff, “Girl Meets World.” Latifah said the cast is currently working together to try to make a revival happen, though “it’s not there yet. But, hopefully, we can get it happening.”

Actor Jason Sudeikis, who also was a guest on the show, said he thought the hit show “Friends” was the reboot. Cohen asked Latifah if, when she saw “Friends,” she thought, “Wait a minute, we’ve already been doing this.”

“We knew we had already been doing this, you know?” Latifah replied. “It was one of these things where there was a guy named Warren Littlefield who used to run NBC. When they asked him when all of the new shows came out, they said, ‘If there’s any show you can have, what one would it be?’ He said, ‘Living Single.’ And they created ‘Friends.'”
