Charlotte Community Protests in Outrage over Killing of Unarmed Black Man by Police

According to witnesses, Keith Lamont Scott of Charlotte, North Carolina was reading a book in his car while waiting to pick up his son from school.

Plainclothes police officers approached Scott and shot him, allegedly mistaking his book for a gun.

Due to Scott’s death by police, the community has protested for two days and been met with hostility from police.
