Watch: Black Protester Gets 15 Years After Baltimore Uprising While White Rioters Walk Free

A 20-year-old Baltimore man will be spending 15 years in prison because of actions in the April 2015 Baltimore riots.

According to CBS Baltimore, prosecutors say Donta Betts was one of the key players in the Freddie Gray riots — looting, starting fires and allegedly attacking police.

Surveillance footage caught the young man spraying lighter fluid on propane cylinders. This image has now gone viral and it further supports prosecutors’ belief that Betts is a menace to Baltimore.

“Donta Betts was a menace to society here in Baltimore. The scope of the criminal activity he was involved in is really breathtaking,” says U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein in the clip. “From throwing rocks to destroying police cars, starting fires, stealing from pharmacies.”

Betts admits to doing this, stating, “I did all this because that was my period to go wild on police.”

  1. Shawn Mc says:

dude shot a women 2 months after the riots

  2. How did I know the prosecutor was going to be a "white jew". And no, 20 years in prison is not justice for burning down anything, because Pantaleo murdered on film and wasn't indicted, he should walk free.

  3. Jason Toupes says:

The headline is misleading…he shot a woman … majority of the sentence is for attempted murder…
