After Lifetime’s disastrous biopic of the late Aaliyah premiered over a week ago, former En Vogue member Dawn Robinson has threatened to sue the network over a movie featuring the group.

The movie focuses on En Vogue saving a local concert house after a family petitions them to do so. Though Robinson split from the R&B group in 1997 and is not included in the film she still fears that the film will be catastrophic. Rhonda Barrett, who joined the group in 2003 to replace Robinson, will appear alongside Terry Ellis and Cindy Herron.

“I have no interest in watching it,” Robinson said, according to The Grio. “It looks horrible. I’m sad for them. After seeing the Aaliyah biopic, I’m extremely worried that this is going to be a train wreck.”

Robinson, who gave up her rights to En Vogue when she left the group, probably will not be successful in suing Lifetime or stopping the movie from being aired, TMZ noted.

Though she has no legal rights to the group, Robinson’s worries are valid after Aaliyah’s biopic crashed and burned after its November 15th premiere. Lifetime received attacks for the bad acting in the film and the actors’ lack of resemblance to the stars they were portraying.

One star who was portrayed in the film, producer Timbaland, spoke out via social media.

“A lot of people asking me if I’m watching that bullsh*t. Evidently not,” he said. “No way. Not Timbo. People, thanks for the comments tonight on that bullsh*t Aaliyah movie. They have felt Timbo’s wrath tonight, baby, and that’s it.”

The film’s executive producer, Wendy Williams, defended her film from all the criticism it received by pointing to the fact that over 3.2 million viewers tuned in.  “Everybody got an opinion!” she said on her talk show. “Whether you loved or hated, you watched.”

An En Vogue Christmas is set to premiere Saturday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m.
