The usually tight-lipped Serena Williams opened up on Friday about several personal issues, saying in a Twitter chat that she desperately would like to settle down and start a family.
The 33-year-old tennis star starting the Q and A session off tweeting “Today is Friday. Is anyone feeling a quick #SerenaFriday ?? If so ask anything you want. I’m here and ready. Hurry before I get too busy. :)” Fans were invited to tweet Williams anything they wanted with the hashtag #serenafriday to which Twitter users wasted no time, asking her a barrage of questions and vying for her attention.
The questions ranged from what hair color she preferred on herself to more intimate questions about her relationship status. She admitted to “desperately” wanting to start a family and saying that her “time will come.”
The 18-time Grand Slam singles title holder revealed that if she wasn’t playing tennis, she would try to delve into the world of acting, which doesn’t come as too much of a surprise as we saw her on the silver screen along with her sister in the 2004 film Hairshow, in addition to a starring appearance on an episode of “Law & Order.”
Getting more intimate, user @rabas2004 asked Williams what her worst habit was. She responded by saying that she has a tendency to look after people and forget to think about herself first. She even went on to say that her single status was not by choice.
Though she may be having some hard feelings about being on her own, Williams’ exes seem to have nothing but kind words to say about her.
“Point blank she’s just a good person and when we broke up, it was one of these things where we just weren’t ready at that time,” her ex-beau rapper Common told the International Business Times earlier this past July. “I probably would be at a new place, she would be at a new place and it might work out.”
According to her twitter chat, the star is taking a break from more than just relationships as she told fans that she is taking some time off from tennis training right now.
