  3. Cornelius D Jones says:

    Very well said!

  4. I have always liked and respect JIM BROWN. I just wish he was being interviewed by POWERFUL BLACK MEDIA PERSONAS. I love LARRY KING. but he is white. (Don't ask me what difference does it make).

  5. Ray Doc says:

Like Jim Brown, not sure if Ray Lewis is the best man for the job. Please don't ask why when you know the answer already.

  6. Lay'Di Cleopatra says:

    I won't ask why. I know why.

  7. Lay'Di Cleopatra says:

If yuou don't want people to question a point, it's unwise to post it in a public forum.

  8. I for one am glade that someone is interviewing him or any black man that is for the positive and speaking not against other black men but attempting to educate someone. I won't ask why, but what I will say is whom do we have black in the Media that has the power of a Larry King? That is international known and respected, "it's not always about whom the message is coming from, but the fact that the message is getting out is the important thing".. And for me of all the white media in America I would trust and listen to Larry King before any of the others..

  9. Your point is well taken ROBERT MANNING.

  10. The man's got wisdom.

  11. JF Williams says:

Good point, but I don't think a lot of people born in the 1980s and above follow Larry King, assuming that they even watch cable television at all.

I didn't even know of this interview until I stumbled onto this website months ago. And I guarantee you that a pluraity of people in my demographic aren't even on that high-level political/racial awareness enough to view websites like Atlanta Blackstar.

So I do not think that the generation Ys & millenials will be hearing the message of Jim Brown from Larry King even if they wanted & needed to. It just ain't happening for whatever reason.

    Just an opinion.

  12. Right you're not sure Ray Doc,wouldn't it be wise to find out first.

  13. It's not Larry King's fault if those born in the 80's and above don't keep track of their history. Those generations track all the entertainers, watch tv shows like Scandal, The Kardashians, Real Housewives and everything reality. More info available to them now about their history in social media forums than there ever was in previous generations. No excuse that's why they are so lost, cause there is always someone to make an excuse for them.

  15. Very powerful Brother and Elder. He who disgraces his elders and ancestors, disgraces himself. We all must work to dissolve nigga-dum. I love my people, but we must refrain from being complacently ignorant to who we are, ASE! I rise early every morning and as I gaze over my sleeping Queen and our children, I am grateful that the Creatress bestowed upon us this beautiful skin. African self love is not the hating of others, it is the realization that one cannot be pleased with others outside of themselves if they are not pleased with themselves first. This is the reason why the African is do disoriented in society. We praise out side of self first, a side effect of psychological and physical domination. I am you and you me African family, so lets represent one another like we love one another.

  16. Jim Brown is a warrior. He has stood for treating black people fairly since I was a small boy.

  17. Tarik Ross says:

other than Oprah who probably wouldn't interview him..what powerful black media personas are they? he gave great answers..if these "powerful black media personas" aren't doing what Jim is doing in the community..then what difference does it make for them to interview him beyond being symbolic?

  18. Raini Butler says:

Tavis Smiley is a powerful black in the medi as is so many others, right off the top of my head!

  19. jim said he is looking for the warrior types.

  20. ray has had to fight demons like the rest of us.

  21. Your point is WELL TAKEN Robert Manning.

  22. I can't jump on Jim Browns accolades too think this man is pointing out the lack of what the young athletes of today aren't aware of, is true not just the athletes but black america as a whole, people choose too be used for the love of money. They have not been taught about the sacrafices made , look at what's happening today Blacks are being murder in record numbers, judges, DA'S police are all in cohoots to Rusty e world of Black men but they arecsuo blind they don't see the plan, their acting as if they are free ree to be who and what they want to be, when you walk around with your head in the sky and can' t and don't look down to see you are walking in shit. Sorry for the use of that word, trying to be like what you will never be accepted, all you are to them is a Rich N—-r with money never a person, never a human being, so tell me what is it about white that make you covet them so much, you will always be a means for them to get rich off of your talents. And the stand back and watch how we demonize one another how we kill one another, they see us as animals . do you not know who you are? Have you not learn where you originated from have you no understanding of your history learn about your history and then you' llvunderstand that you need to not idolize that which despise you.I got off track I was about to jump into Jim Brown selective memory. I' all leave that for another time.

  23. Well said Brother Brown.

  24. Have no fear but fear itself
