Disney had to edit the Aladdin movie because of an insensitive reference to Middle Eastern people. A song originally stated, “Where they cut off your ear if they don’t like your face./It’s barbaric, but hey./It’s home,” in reference to Middle Eastern culture.
Sebastian from The Little Mermaid (1989)
Sebastian had an incredibly bad Jamaican accent and was trying to convince Ariel (the mermaid) that life was better in the water because she wouldn’t have to work.
