Gabrielle Union Ties the Knot With Dwyane Wade in Sleek, Custom Gown

Gabrielle Union went from Being Mary Jane to being Mrs. Wade over the weekend. She said “I do” to Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade during an intimate wedding in front of family and friends Saturday.

Wade, 32, called on the help of his two sons from his previous marriage and his nephew in December to propose to the 41-year-old actress, and now “The Wade Union” has finally happened.

The couple wed in Miami in front of roughly 200 guests, according to the Bleacher Report.

R&B star John Legend performed at the wedding, which featured a 1930s theme.

According to TMZ, the wedding took place at the famous Chateau Artisan, a large castle that is complete with its very own moat.

Both the bride and groom wore custom designs for their wedding day.

Union was dressed in a sleek custom-designed wedding gown made by Dennis Basso for Kleinfeld.

E! News obtained the first exclusive look at the gown via a detailed sketch of the wedding dress design.

The image revealed a long, flowing strapless gown with a large bow in the back.

The gown in the sketch featured a fitted bodice, while the rest of the dress flared out toward the bottom for a classic, traditional look with a modern touch.

Wade wore a customized Dsquared2 bow tie. Dsquared2 is Wade’s personally designed Wedding Collection bow tie from The Tie Bar. He also wore a boutonniere by Floral Fix.

Details of the wedding were slowly starting to emerge even though all the guests and all those working at the ceremony were required to sign confidentiality agreements.

Among those in attendance were Miami Heat owner Micky Arison, Blazers forward Dorell Wright, Think Like a Man producer Will Packer and media personality La La Anthony, who was joined by her husband, New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony.

The night before the big day, the couple was spotted out and about having a great time together at the rehearsal dinner.

Union snapped a few photos in a chic, black ensemble and shared it to her Instagram with the hashtag “#TheWadeUnion.”

This marks the second marriage for both stars.

Wade married Siohvaughn Funches in 2002. They separated in 2007.

The pair went through a series of nasty court battles, which finally resulted in Wade getting full custody of their two sons in 2011.

Union was married to former NFL player Chris Howard from 2001 to 2006.
