Drake fans were recently delighted when the rapper dropped a verse on his Young Money boss Lil Wayne’s new track “Believe Me,” which is going to be one of the hits for the summer. However, Sunday night Drizzy fans were even more excited as the Toronto rapper dropped a brand new solo record called “0 to 100/The Catch Up.”
As reported by vibe.com:
“Drizzy took to Instagram to announce the official drop of his new track, “0 to 100.” Previously thought to be called “Way Up,” the track employs what seems to be the rapper’s new phrase. Featuring a bounce worthy of the occupation of any bass-capable speaker, Drizzy talks his slick bars before slowing it down for the second half of the six-minute joint. Co-produced by Boi-1da, Noah “40″ Shebib and Nineteen85,“0 To 100” definitely has summer smash potential.”
The beat from “0 to 100” actually has a similar feel to the aforementioned Lil Wayne track “Believe Me.” Drake also drops some hints about when he’ll be releasing his next solo effort.
According to pitchfork.com:
“The new track may include hints at a new Drake record, as suggested by lines like ‘Listen up boy you’re better off eavesdropping’/ We already got spring 2015 poppin’/ PND droppin’, OB droppin’, Majid Jordan droppin’, not to mention me dropping.'”
